CURRENT PROJECTS

A striking home whose new owners want to customize a few select but important design choices and finishing details. The 2008 built home has soaring vaulted ceilings, grand views, and an austere presentation. The goals of the project are to soften the interior of the home, update the color palette, construct an outdoor kitchen and fireplace, refinish the massive stone fireplace, build out a kitchen office, and delicately alter the design toward a more welcoming French country aesthetic.

PAST PROJECTS

The rescue of a charming 115 year old farmhouse. Initially begun as a simple updating, the home quickly proved in need of complete restoration. It was one of those projects where all the worst fears of buying a 100 year old home come true. Years of neglect, disrepair, and mischievous termites led to a re-engineering of the pier-and-beam foundation along with reframing most exterior walls. The dire state of the home proved fortuitous in the end, as it allowed for a striking improvement in window sizing and placement along with a redesigned floor plan providing a modern kitchen and master suite.

Perfectly sited on the 2 acre lot to maximize privacy while capturing the light as the sun moves across the southern sky. This new build in a secluded South Asheville cove features crisp lines, Scandinavian white oak flooring throughout, expansive decking, spacious master suite, open floor plan, and green building details throughout. An energy efficient home that is eminently livable.
